Laurent began his career at DUMEZ Bâtiment before joining the family group POCLAIN Hydraulics in 1985 as Purchasing Manager. He becomes Executive Director in 1992, and in 2002 he is appointed CEO of the POCLAIN group, a leader of the hydraulic transmission systems that has become an important mid-cap with employing more than 2500 employees worldwide.

Laurent is also Vice President of the FIM and President Europe of the International Union of the Moves of the Chretien Executives.
